It looks great, came separate days but was worth the wait! My husband and I took around 2 hours to put together the bunk beds. My husband put together the trundle on his own. No missing parts. There was an odor, so we aired out the room for 3 days.
Read many reviews prior to purchase, and I felt the biggest issue was the spacing of the slats. I sent my husband to buy more slats from Home Depot. Also, you need to screw the original slats to the frame at an angle, so my husband pre-drilled holes to prevent splitting the bed-frame wood. We simply stapled our extra slats to the black straps to hold them in place. Refer to my photo.
My oldest son (59 lbs) sleeps on the top bunk. My daughter (40 lbs) sleeps on the bottom bunk. My youngest son (35 lbs) sleeps on the trundle.
My husband is 175 lbs, and lies on the top bunk all the time. My kids sometimes walk on the trundle to get to their bed. A month later, and the bed is going strong.
