The bed is beautiful, my daughter absolutely loved the bed until the center support beam caved in on her (12 yr. old that weighs 100lbs.) while she was making the bed (not jumping). She pressed her knee into the center of the bed and bed collapsed on her. The beam bent down to the floor (no trundle bed yet), split the wood slats in half and broke the side panel as well. We have only had it for 6 months. We were super impressed when the co. sent us replacement parts (beam, slats and braces) free and pretty fast. Once we tried putting the new parts on we realized the there was more damage than we thought; the side panel was broken too once we pulled back the upholstery. We are currently waiting to see if we can get a new panel. Its unavailable at this time.wont buy again
