I am not they handy type at all! Directions were clear and easy to decipher! I was very nervous because of the mixed reviews some people loved it, some people hated it. Lol count me in with the folks that love it. I also purchased a 12 bed in box to accommodate and I love my bed!! Great value for such a low price . Bed does sit low but that is the style lol 12 mattress perfect for it comfy and so cute
