Very struddy, hard wood. You can choose what side you want the stairs and slide on too. i have mine ooposite from there photo and also put a toddler bed under for my 2 yr old. When i ordered it i didnt notice theres drawers built into the stairs but deff happy about it
Edit: bought the bed beginning of 2019 and its still holding together good. I got rid of the toddler bed and put a queen bed underneath. Headboard of it is under the loft bed. Took the legs off of the queen bed so it works perfectly for my girls. Ill update with a pic later
