This bed is nice and solid. Made with solid wood, not particleboard! I wish the slats under the mattress were thicker. It cant hold an adult, but thats not what it was made for anyway. It will hold 2-3 kids at one time easily. Our 4 year old daughter loves it. You will definitely need a helper to assemble the frame. Assembly time was longer than expected. It took me about 7 hours to do it primarily by myself. With 2 people, you can probably assemble in 3-4 hours.
