Its a perfect starter frame. However, I do love the fact it just needs the mattress which saves from being way higher off the ground. Its pretty simple to put together if you follow the IKEA style instructions. All parts and tools came with it. So all you really need is, body strength. It does take some time putting together.
So my cons are. it squeaks. a lot. When you sit, turn, slip and get up out of bed. I ended up adding on rubber washers to try to help lessen the squeak. But its metal, right? Its going to not be silent. It does squeak more than I prefer. I purchased the king size and Im 150lbs and it makes noise as one person.
I recommend getting rubber washers if you get this. Also, never had issues with bending of the metal poles under the bed. Not sure what people are doing (questionable) or maybe theyre not the weight for it. Who knows. But I will say I did test it out after I put it together by mimicking noises as if someone else was in the bed (shaking it and moving it back and forth) and lets say, it might not be roommate or child friendly. just a FYI.
Other than that. Its perfect if you move and need to take it apart. I like it. It works.
