memory foam mattress need better support than this gives
I got this for my GFs 16 year old boy.
The headboard is much smaller than I thought it would be.
Putting it together can be a little tricky because when you are tightening the cross-brace in the middle, you can crush in the steel tubing of the side rails so be careful over-tightening.
The support braces are extremely easy to knock off when setting up and putting a mattress on it because they just rest on the side rails with only about 1/2 of an inch of metal. Im going to screw these down for now with sheet metal screws.
Also, they are about 4-5 inches apart and a memory foam mattress really nees less than 3 inch of space between braces. I will eventually get some 1X6 boards to lay across the side rails and get rid of the support braces to really give the memory foam mattress support.
I dont know how much I would trust this frame for 2 adults doing what adults do but for kids, it should be fine.
