I decided to do this review today after putting it together last night, to give the most accurate review of this.
Packaging was great inside, lots of buffer and plastic to protect parts. I got the black, so definitely took time to inspect. Pulled out all parts and set them up to count/make sure everything was there. Pretty clear labeling, and theres a bunch of different sizes for the screws to definitely dont mix them up.
This can be done solo (Im 52, 110 lbs), but you have to be aware of what parts connect and when you should do one step ahead before returning to the correct order (I put the first section with ladders together on floor and stood it up, then when it asked to connect the next piece, I connected the next pieces that would allow it to stand without me dealing with the brunt of the weight).
The bed rails are great and those grey connectors really help make the bed secure when lying on it. The only issue is you need a buffer if against a wall, it will shake a bit when climbing. If possible for you, anchor the bed to avoid any insecurities.
My biggest issue was the tool provided and placement. A drill would be best, as the tool they give stripped halfway through. The desk also gave me a hassle as it does not just slide in place. A tap with a cloth covered hammer and it got lined up right, but it was a bit of a hassle.
Your feet will hurt climbing this. Im using cloth covered pipe insulation which is a cheap and easy solution. Also recommend it for that low bar that connects both the ladders, because in a rush you will ignore and trip over it .
Overall, a great purchase for the price, and really helps maximize space. very pleasantly surprised
Be prepared for effort!
