Almost perfect. The finish is smoother than I expected. Some reviews stated it was rough and needed sanding. It feels smooth, except some edges. The directions recommends a light sanding with 160-200 grit sand paper before staining or painting, or it can be left bare. I plan on giving it a coat of oil when I get the chance. It went together quickly and easily in the dark, with just a cellphone light. Unfortunately there was one screw hole stripped in one of the legs at the foot of the frame, but didnt affect its sturdiness. I hardly used any force with a Phillips-head screw driver and it kept turning loosely. The slats are thick. Just one can hold my 200+lbs weight. I slept on it with just a 3 memory foam and a -30° sleeping bag, and slept better than I did in years. It is high enough to fit a full Army duffle bag underneath. I would recommend this frame to anyone 63 an need a simple, sturdy, and high frame.
