The fabric is pure street walker faux velvet, very cheap looking. As a fold out bed the comfort is not horrible, but to sit in, its really not comfortable as you can feel the structure under the cushion extremely well. If I could go back, I wouldnt order this. I liked the vintage look, but this isnt so much vintage as carnival prize.
