Pay attention and read the instructions before starting. I put on the side rails upside/down first time. Also, decide height at the beginning. Two options. I used a 8 bed/in/box mattress. Sleeps great, but may go with 10 next time. 8 looks great, but a 10 may be better for this big guy. Looks great with a nice southern quilt.
