I purchased this loft bed for my 16 year old daughter. She has a small room and a loft bed allowed her to have more space. The bed is sturdy and easy to assemble. Its also not so high that its close to the ceiling either. She has since created a craft/reading nook under the bed, complete with curtains and lights. I would definitely buy this bed again. Easy to assemble just takes a while
