I will not recommend this chair unless you consider yourself extra handy. In later version of this chair, it uses low quality nuts and bolts which are very difficult to tighten up correctly. It is not in the design where the nut locations are correctly mounted. But the nuts and bolts have very tight fit and rough surface making them difficult to go in. Once the bolt starts correctly, it will go in alright. If not careful, you can ruin the thread and the chair. Thats why you see reviews saying both that the chair is easy (design) and difficult (parts quality) to assemble. I spent more than an hour to put in the 8 bolts for the seat, back and arm rest. I highly recommend a bottle of petroleum jelly and a M5 size T-handled hex key (not provided with the chair) for the assembly task.
The chair has some padding all around, but the foam pieces are not thick and low quality. I am only 170 pounds and the seat foam bottoms out when I sat on it. If you sit on the chair all day long, invest in a chair with thick high quality memory foam and expect to spend upward of $300. For shorter work session, the chair is reasonably comfortable for its price. When assembled, the chair is stable and sturdy.
This chair is for smaller build person.
A good office chair if assembled well
