I spent months looking for a nursery rocker that wouldn’t break the bank, take up a ton of space, and could be used in other rooms. I almost purchased the IKEA Poang rocker but it seemed so pricey for what it was. I went out on a limb with this dupe and I am glad I did!
My husband put it together easily. For the price, I’m happy with the sturdiness and construction. I will mention that there were several chips/splinters along the wooden base— they sanded down easily and you would have to inspect it closely to see that damage. Also, the bar under your knees is a little uncomfortable if you spend a while in the chair— I just toss a throw under my legs and it’s fine. It does slide around on our laminate wood floors, so I’m going to purchase a rug to put under it for traction.
I’m 5’8” and 190lbs and feel very comfortable and stable in this rocker. My husband is 6’ with long legs and is comfy in it as well.
Overall, the price was excellent and the chair is solid. I am very pleased with it.
