I was surprised at how accurate the drilling was on the bed pieces. The assembly was time consuming for a Grandpa, but it went together nicely and the grandkids love it. Didnt know about the suggested 6 maximum for mattresses, but the 8 (spring coil from a vacuum packed box) worked great for our 8 and 6 year olds.
