The photo online represents slate as a neutral brown. But the slate color is actually light grey. Nothing brown about it. The chair is very comfortable and although small in size seems to fit everyone how sits in it. We bought another one for our family room because it is so popular in the house. The navy color was true to photo. so beautiful and wonderful
