First the pros:
This bed frame looks great. It seems to be of good quality. We had no problems putting it together. Its sturdy and doesnt squeak when we move around. Were very pleased with the appearance of it.
The cons:
There are plenty of metal rails that go across the frame, which is great. However, they dont recess in at all and the mattress holders are completely useless. Theyre on the four corners, but are too low to hold the mattress. So the mattress just slides around on all the metal rails. It seems like an obvious design flaw. Why not have the rails lower than the frame? Because we didnt want the hassle of shipping it back, we had to figure out a fix. I ordered anti-slip rubberized tape on , and we put it across the top of the rails to keep the mattress from slipping. It has worked out well. It also solved another issue we didnt consider about the metal rails. We needed to put on a bed skirt/dust ruffle to hid a bunch of stuff under the bed. The dust ruffle wouldnt stay put over just the metal rails without the tape. Its still a bit of a pain to tuck the top sheet under the mattress with just the rails to hold it up. Kind of falls through the rails. Oh well, at least it looks nice.
Just some things to consider before you purchase.
Needs a redesign.
