Awesome compact bed for daybed/guest bed, kids, small space living!
I was looking for a cost efficient twin bed/daybed for my office and based on the aesthetics, low price and the other reviews, decided to go for this futon frame and bought a 5 mattress to go with it. I am short (52) and prefer low to the ground furniture. It arrived well packed, was easy to put together and is a perfect height for my needs. Theres room for short under the bed too. Love that its foldable for storage/moving as i rearrange my furniture often, but feels super sturdy/no creaking/moving when you move around on it. I hadnt researched poplar before ordering this but even though its not the prettiest bare wood, its still so much better than MDF and would be very easy to apply a quick finish to. I was also pleased that its so compact and i was able to put it together easily without much floor space. The only tool I used was a drill/driver to screw in the wood screws. It could be done by hand with a manual screwdriver but would take a lot longer. Also it comes with self driving screws in the hardware and there are pilot holes in each of the places they go/the issue Ive seen another review talk about re: having to drill your own holes wasnt an issue for me. Cant feel the slats at all through the mattress which i had been a little worried about.
Id definitely recommend this bed, and would buy from this company again.
For reference, in the photos its a 5x8 rug, a 5 twin memory foam mattress and a real fluffy queen down comforter on top in the pics.
