Unfortunately, I discovered a lot of quality control issues with the shelving unit I received. There were a lot of imperfections and damage in the metal and a big scrape down one of the shelf surfaces. This does not have solid wood, but a picture of wood applied like a sticker to particle board. I knew this from the beginning, but I was disappointed in the application of the ‘sticker.’ The overall quality was not what I expected for the price I paid. The bottom screen material did not extend fully to the sides, one shelf does not lay flush with other elements, there was even what appeared to be a shoddy fix on one side of the “X” brackets were the metal came apart but it was painted over. I’m using this behind my desk to extend the usable surface area of my workspace. I keep the pc towers and router etc on the shelves below and have the monitors sitting on top.
