Assembled the bed looks great if you don’t look closely at it. The assembly was awful with pieces that don’t fit perfectly so you need to squeeze them together while screwing them in. Very poorly cut mattress slats. The screws are not correctly tempered so the metal isn’t perfectly soft. This is not a safety risk but adds to the risk of stripping the screw when it gets stuck going down a hole that was poorly tapped during manufacturing. That said. The seller was fantastic and shipped me new screws at no charge to replace the bad ones. The mattress fits with about an inch of gap at the top and bottom and some of the wood is a little scratchy but not a risk to the child. Getting the mattress in and out is a pain. And sheet changes are awful but that is not the fault of the product. If you know that from the time it arrives up to the time you have a kid sleeping in it you are in for a world of frustration you will be happy with the end result. My 4 year old loves it and has a 10” mattress which is the limit to how high this thing can be before he has a hard time getting in and out of bed. Our 2 year old can’t get up there. Think about height of mattress when buying and remember this has no steps. The cool part is we can fit canvas boxes (sold on ) under the bed so it adds toy storage.
Overall there are frustrations with assembly but the kid loves it and I would buy it again. I feel he is safe in it and he loves it. Quality isn’t perfect but for the price I can deal.
Frustrating but good product
