I put this bed together by myself. It did take some time (maybe 2 hours), but it seems like its very sturdy and it was not difficult to put together at all. It was just a tedious task. My bed did not have cabinets underneath, but there is space if you have something you dont reach for often if you want to put there before completing the assembly of the bed. I have no complaints, except that it took so long to put together. Other than that, it seems like a great bed so far!
