Not sure why all the 1 star stating not sturdy? Sounds like they just didnt assemble them very well. Mine are very sturdy. One thing when turned upside down to install the legs the lower screws closest to seat are difficult to get to to tighten. Seat is a little firm for me also, but they work and are very sturdy if assembled correctly. Only 4 stars because of design flaw in trying to tighten lower screws.
