Because my daughter had ordered a couch in a box, I expected it to be as easy as what she experienced. But no. This was a different company and was half the price. Assembly wasnt simple and required thought and two people. (All my daughter had to do was locate and screw in the legs.) Some of the pre-drilled holes were not drilled correctly and needed manipulation to make them work. The futon is not really comfortable. Im 55 and the end of the cushion hits the back of the leg before the knee. This can be painful if sitting for long periods of time and the seat backs dont sit as erect as I like. I would recommend placing the futon next to a wall to help support the back. When I mentioned to my daughter that mine wasnt as comfortable as hers, she offered, Well, it was half the price... so theres that. So, you get what you pay for.
