We purchased this through in October 2019 to replace the exact same model we had purchased from an ashley furniture store in 2014.
They both look relatively identical, so thats good.
The one has, i think, a rubber foam padding in it, and it is considerably stiffer than the older one it replaced. We do not remember the older one ever being that firm, and the seat was not heavily used, so we think this is a newer change.
Do not get the extended warranty from ashley. Its useless. The material began cracking, and ashley claims its normal wear, and wont replace it. Our table set has always been more of a decoration piece, and has been used fairly consistently at one time a month since we bought it. Id love to know how theyre still in business if they build furniture with a life expectancy of only 60 uses!
Buying the replacement bench through was less expensive, since we did not have to pay shipping costs, so thats nice.
The pictures are of the old bench next to the new one. The close up is of the cracking material on the old bench (just in case anyone was curious).
New one looks the same as the old
