    Easy one/person assembly, cute

I work in a hospital and was [politely] exiled to the other part of the house to protect my medically vulnerable family members from COVID exposure. When it became clear that COVID was here to stay, I realized sleeping on a stack of mattress toppers was not a sustainable long/term solution. So, I bought a bed. I chose this bed because ideally it can be used in the future as some kind of guest bed (whenever thats safe again). Also because I figured I could use the bottom/trundle for non/bed seating, because it was becoming progressively clearer that the rec room was going to be my studio/dorm (and the geometry wouldnt allow for a loft bed like in a real dorm room). Anyway, the instructions were simple and straightforward. The pictures were understandable. All tools and hardware were included, AND were packaged based on what they were for (the trundle hardware was in a separate package from that of the main bed assembly), which was cool. All in all, Im happy with my purchase. This trundle bed is cute, easy for a single person to assemble (also LOUD to assemble! But thats expected, everything is metal), and helps me feel a bit more like COVID isolation is a fun little adventure that I can have some agency over, which makes the separation from my family members (in the other part of the house) a bit more tolerable. That said, Im not tall (54). I probably wouldnt recommend this for anyone taller than 56, but that goes for any twin size bed. My feet sometimes do reach the footboard, but the funny thing is that because of the construction of the footboard (a railing rather than a solid wall), my feet just go through. So its not even that uncomfortable! The mattress Im using for the main bed is the linenspa 6/inch innerspring mattress, with a 2 foam topper, and it is extremely comfortable. For the trundle, Im using an old futon mattress since Im just sitting on it every now and then, not sleeping on it. I wouldnt recommend the futon mattress for sleeping.
