Even though it was packaged very well, several pieces had rust on them. I only put four stars instead of five because of the rust. It obviously wasnt enough to have me send it back. Spray painting the individual pieces with rust/proof paint might be a good plan. I didnt, however, because I was so excited to get it put together. One of the reviewers said it took several hours to assemble. I, a 50/year/old woman, put it together by myself in about an hour and a half. I DID, however, have the right tools for the job. The bed came with its own tools, but they arent the best. If you use those, plan on taking a LONG time to put it together. Also, if your mattress is thin, you will feel the slats. I recently bought a good mattress, but the one I used before this would have needed a piece of plywood or something underneath. If you have a good mattress, Im sure you will be fine. I took a nap on it after assembly, and felt nothing but rested. I love my princess bed.
