Definitely need 2 people to assemble. The bars that hold the mattress could care to be thicker. Wouldnt suggest more than 200lbs up there but my child is still young and so are her friends so its okay. All in all its nice.
This bed was for my teenager. On the company review it said it is perfect for a teenager but to be honest it is not. First it said the bed was delivered for I had not received it. I emailed the company as you cant call them and have yet (two months later) to get an email back from them. I found out 3 days later that the bed was delivered to a house down the street from me. I finally got the bed and it was a nightmare putting it together. From the moment we out the bed together it shakes when you touch it. It is NOT a sturdy bed at all. It is a waste of money.
Easy to assemble, instructions easy to follow. I did this myself without any problem/ 35yo mom whos never assembled a bunk bed. I guess I am not too familiar with bunk beds, but this is very wobbly. I have been in a very sturdy wooden bunk before and never imagined a metal loft bed would feel so shakey. Its impossible to break down and try to return but I would never buy this again. I mean it will serve its purpose while my boys share a room and I will find a way to anchor it to the two walls its up against, but i wish I had spent more for a wooden bed instead. I guess its the chance you take when buying online!
It is a nice loft bed that was easy to assemble. It is NOT very sturdy. Does not matter how much we tighten the screws. I would not recommend for a bigger child (over 10).
Im always afraid of items like these because you never know what you will get. Especially after reading reviews. But I have to say, for the price, this bed is definitely worth it.
I was able to put together a majority of all the pieces together by myself. But once you need to actually assemble it all the way you need a second person. But its not difficult. There were a few times I was scratching my head at the directions because it seemed out of order, but I just went with it, and pretty much got it together. Sometimes you feel like things may not match up but it works out.
My main reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 was because the bar that attaches to the back of the bed, that acts as a stabilizing support bar, I was unable to attach it right away. There were holes on one side to attach the bar but not on the other side. I even thought maybe I put a pole backwards or something but I looked all the way around all four posts and the manufacturer just seemed to forget to drill holes on the other side so I could attach it.
I am just going to go to Lowes and get a couple bolts and nuts, drill through the other post that doesnt have the holes and just attach it to the other side. You definitely need it for more stabilization. Once thats done the bed will be pretty stable.
