Simple to assemble. Might work better for the trundle to be on a hard floor vs carpet.
Overall pleased with bed and trundle. Very convenient in my smaller bedroom.
Before I got this bed for my 5 year old, I read a lot of reviews on this bed and they were mixed. The bed is very sturdy. I did buy a bunkie board just in case. Probably not needed for a child but I would recommend it for a teen or adult. The storage drawers are perfect for sheets and stuffies. Only negative, which is a personal experience, is the headboard is just the right to bang your head on. Otherwise, its a great bed.
We got it today and put it together. It came much earlier than expected, which is great! I was worried that it wouldnt be sturdy, per reviews, but its actually quite sturdy. I feel safe allowing my (soon to be) 2yo sleep in it. Its very pretty! So happy with this buy!! It took 2 hours for me to assemble mostly by myself. My husband helped hold part of it at the very end but that is all.
Only dislike: the directions are hard to follow but ONLY because a lot of the boards werent labeled. Less than half had letters printed on them and, believe me, I searched! It wasnt hard to figure out which ones were which, but it was inconvenient and added to my time. That is all.
For under $400, this bed was fine for the price although Im overall, slightly dissatisfied with my purchase.
There are several negative things to take note of when comparing this bed to other twin beds. First, the drawers are shallow, plan on storing items that do not have a lot of bulk to them. Second, the casters on the trundle bed are undersized and the bed will not easily pull out without dragging on your carpet. If you had hardwood floors, I am certain they would scrape the floor as well. Lastly, why wouldnt you include little white circular stickers to cover the hardware on this bed???? It significantly cheapens the overall look. If given an easy option to return without having to disassemble and repackage, I would.
