We were originally considering purchasing a very similar buffet from a higher end manufacturer but with shipping it was three times the cost of this piece. We decided to give this one a try and Im very glad we did! The mahogany color of this one is actually a better fit for us than the lighter color we saw at the other retailer. The color is a lovely rich brown with no red in it.
The buffet is very sturdy and well made. The doors and drawers lined up perfectly. We were also impressed that the back is made of wood rather than the glorified cardboard most affordable furniture comes with. The back is done in three sections that are fitted together and attached with screws rather than tacks like most.
The assembly instructions were well done and easy to follow. I have assembled a lot of furniture from high end to that Swedish mega store and the drawers on this piece were by far the easiest to assemble that Ive ever encountered. It took my husband and me about 2 1/2 to 3 hours total to assemble everything. Not the fastest but also not the longest weve encountered.
The one and only issue we had was that the screw-in plastic feet on the bottoms of 4 of 6 legs were very rough with bits of plastic sticking out. We were concerned that they would scratch our wood floors so we first tried sanding them down with heavy grit sandpaper. That worked okay but they still seemed a bit rough. We ended up taking one to a store locally to see if we could find a match. The only ones we found turned out to not have the right size screw so we ended up just using stick-on heavy duty felt furniture pads. They were a perfect fit and invisible with the piece upright and in position.
Overall we are thrilled with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

It came damaged but I dont know if it was the carrier who dropped it off. The box was damaged when I received it.
