Assembling the top is difficult.
I tried drilling a screw , impossible! The screw is not going in. There is an outline to wear the screw should go, no hole , the screw is getting hot to touch.
No holes were Pre screwed to make it easy.
Unhappy with purchase based on difficulty with attaching the top piece.
Ready to trash it.
Perfect bench. Just what I needed. If this is the size you are looking for buy it. The cushion is super soft and the bench was super easy to assemble. It took maybe 5 minutes. Whomever said it was hard to assemble or legs didnt line up had no clue what they are doing. Put it all in place but dont tighten the screws all the way so you can adjust it all to a perfect fit as you are assembling. The only thing I can pick on is the color of the legs, I wish it was a little more gold with a bit more sparkle.
I had some trouble putting this together. The side hinges that hold the lid up were odd and difficult to figure out how to attach. I struggled and ended up bending one of the hinges making it unusable! The regular lid hinges are fine, I just cant the lid and it remain stationary / but we just store extra blankets in there so no biggie. It is sturdy to sit on. But overall quality is great and it looks aming in my daughters room.
The right arm to help the lid stay up was broke and the person could not use it to finish the assembling. I have to hold the lid or it will close up b/4 I am through looking in it

This is the second one delivered. Although this one has a different backing theres still no pre drilled holes to attach lid.

Minor difficulties, but a keeper.

Sturdy. Could be easier to assemble
Sturdy. Somewhat of an hassle to put together. Some of the gems are a little uneven and perfectly positioned. Works well, opens easily.
Good foot test. Its pretty.
Beautiful but not a soft cushion at all. So sitting your rear end down on it doesnt feel too great but for feet its perfect.
Horrible assembly
The assembly on this is horrible. the hinge mar were completely incorrect and so I had to use a drill. Looks nice but the time OMG
