Easier to assemble when you have the instructions and all the parts

Upon arrival we were missing two parts and the instructions. I hope it doesnt take forever to get replacement parts.

    Solid and sturdy

Solid piece once assembled! Random spacing tool with no instructions, only realized its purpose AFTER all the planks were put in

    Exceeded expectations

The dimensions were a little misleading but it worked out perfectly. (Our ceiling height is standard at 8 feet.) Our daughter loves the loft. We contacted the company by e/mail with purchase information and a photo of a damaged post. Next thing we knew, it was being shipped without any questions. Great product and great company.

    LOVE this bed!

I bought this to replace a very wobbly, very squeaky loft bed I purchased about 6 months ago for my 16 year old daughter. I read the reviews and saw some comments about it being wobbly and noisy and I was a little concerned but figured it had to be better. My daughter and I are BOTH in love with this bed. Its heavy and sturdy and solid. I put it together by myself (Im an adult woman, 56) and it was VERY difficult. But I did it. Definitely recommend having 2 people to assemble it. I weigh 270 lbs and climbed up the ladder and the bed didnt move and the ladder had no issues. My daughter is 57 and weighs 160 lbs and loves her new bed.

Great loft bed value but air it out first!

Bought 2 for our kids bedroom (ages 11 14). Pkgd well but upon opening, strong paint smell permeated. For everyones health, you need to let air out in a garage or outdoors if good weather before assembling or, if after assembling, wait to sleep in them until it airs out. Took about 5/6 days for smell to completely dissipate. Easy to put together but need a 2nd person to hold up one end when attaching the other end. Pretty sturdy but it does wobble a bit when climbing getting in. As long as you dont exceed weight limit (which I thought would be more but was only 160lbs!), we are not concerned with the wobble. Its pretty tall so it was expected. Our kids fit their desks underneath along with some storage cubes. Good amt of space. I am 5ft need to duck my head when going underneath. After about a month, we started to see little cracks in the wood going against the grain so well see how long it holds up over time. But for now, it seems purely cosmetic; its not affecting the structures integrity. We figure once the weight limit has been exceeded, well chop the legs, take away the guardrails our kids can have nice platform beds. The lofts are nice looking and our kids love them. We have enough ceiling clearance as we have cathedral walls. Value for is good considering the wobble pressure cracks. We have thick mattresses (9) but there is still a safe 5 of clearance b/t the top of the mattress to the top of the guardrail. We did have to put a material covering the guardrail for our daughter as she tends to sleep with foot/leg dangling between them (not safe). Ill be happy if we get a few yrs out of these beds as lofts before our kids outgrow the weight limit. If you want a completely stable bed w/no movement, spend more on an oak or other hardwood bed. If your kids dont mind a little wobble dont mind being up pretty high (like a treehouse), then go for these beds. Just let them air out first!

    No instructions and missing parts

This is by far the worst purchase I have made through ! It has been so frustrating. First, there were no instructions included in the box. I did find them on the sellers website but still they should have included them. After my husband worked on the bed for two hours, he realized the bed is missing three boards that support the mattress. He was rushing to get it put together because my 8 year old has been waiting patiently for her new bed since her birthday. She is tired of sleeping on a mattress in her sisters floor. We got everything completed and then realized there are three boards missing. I completely understand buying a bed online is a risk, but this is just beyond frustrating. As for the bed itself, it is a little wobbly but it will work for an 8 year old. I dont know if I would let a teenager or adult sleep up there, but smaller children should be ok.

    Correct description

It was bigger than I expected but I like it. My kids are in love with it. I purchased 2 am so glad that I did. Unlike the other Hilsdale brand that I purchased earlier in December, these came on time and not damaged.

    Loft Bed

There was no assembly manual in the box. We did find the assembly manual online at living.com, with the manual and following the instructions the loft bed went together pretty good. Took 2 of us to work on it. Spent most of the afternoon (old woman and a teenager). No parts missing. No parts broken. Once put together it looks nice and appears sturdy. Desk and dresser put under the loft making more open space in the bedroom.Did not take away any stars for missing manual as it is available on the manufacturers website.

    Nice bed

It was ok to assemble. I did it mostly by myself but I did eventually get a little help. The bed is nice. My daughter likes it, especially since I added purple twinkling lights. It did come slightly cosmetically damaged. I dont think it comprises the bed. I contacted the seller but I did not hear back.
