Bed is definitely for only one person. If you have a significant other thats over 165 pounds, this is not the bed to purchase. My bed only lasted two years. The wood is pressboard.
This bed looks good and has a ton of storage. Its a good value for sure. My teenager is able to fit all clothes except for hanging clothes in the 12 drawers. If you are not someone that is super handy, Id recommend that you hire someone to put this together. There was 0 chance that I could have done this myself. I hired a handyman who spent about 3.5 hours building every single drawer and wound up paying him double what we originally agreed because it was that labor/intensive. Now that its together though, its fine. One other thingbecause it has the two rows of drawers, the bed sits very high with a mattress and y board. Im 54 and it requires a little effort to get on it!
I have had my bed for about 1 yr. I like my bed a lot because of the storage. I see that its 600 now and that is quite high for particle board, in my opinion. I wanted the storage / thats the only reason I bought this in particle board. I wish it was solid wood but we are happy with it. Basically we sleep on it and its fine and our combined weight is 325 lbs. We reinforced it with brackets all over the place on the inside. The head side of the bed is up against a wall. The bed is a pretty good design went together well but it took us over 8 hours, including sorting out all the hardware and wood pieces and reading instructions. It came in 4 boxes and it took 6 weeks to complete the delivery / the first one never arrived completely and had to be resent, that was the fault of the carrier. I couldnt begin assembly of what I did receive early because hardware was shipped separately with other components. ( I explained the shipping further, below). The instructions are very good and the hardware is easy to use. My husband is handy and showed me how to put the drawers together and I was able to do them easily. If you can follow instructions and have someone to help with the heavier aspects, anyone can do this. It helps to have a ratcheting screwdriver and a power screw driver. Near the finalput together the hardest part was getting the bed/drawers all aligned and screwing down the brackets while keeping the slats from slipping off. There are pilot holes that the brackets screw into that are hardly noticeable. I dont know how anyone would do the final assembly alone (keeping the walls together with drawers in while attaching head and foot) / it really requires two people I think. Once aligned the drawers were almost perfectly flush. I am impressed with the way the bed was engineered, as the only weakness is that its particle board, and also there are some gaps at the head area between the mattress and the head piece. I havent put a headboard up / that is another project. Im not having problems with the slats sliding and dropping out. They are plywood and my husband used angle brackets to secure them in place to the head and foot boards. There are two particle board pieces in the center part of the bed that hold the sides of the bed, and the drawers glide on. The slats could also be anchored to those boards. Overall. I think the bed is more stable with a lot of angle brackets. After that, it would be very difficult to take this bed apart and move itthat is the nature of particle board, but I guess it would be possible if you have wood glue and wood filler. We also put self stic felt underneath on any area that touched our flooring. This also makes it easier toslide the bed if needed. After reading the reviews I realize the bed cannot be torqued or the particle board would be stressed. Our combined weight is about 315 lbs and we havent had any issues. I think if you reinforce this bed with the angle brackets it will work out okay.
Weve slept on it for two weeks and still plan to go in and do more reinforcement. I will try to update in the future. I would say if you get it reinforce it, its a decent bed to get more storage especially if you have a smaller bedroom or closet space. However, I dont expect to move this bed and I agree with others, it probably cant be
My bed had some damage that was mostly cosmetic. I got a discount from although not as much as I asked for. The rep didnt tell me exactly the truth either. He said Id get a partial refund for the damage, but instead gave me a promo credit on my account which limits what I can buy on / only items fulfilled by and no gift cards either. I feel this was misleading from what he originally told me.
My delivery experience with UPS was not good. The bed shipped in 4 boxes and UPS lost the 4th heaviest box (over 100 lbs) twice. The first order waslost had to be replaced and then UPS did the same thing. My local driver finally found it in the warehouse and told me about it, saying it was extremely beat upand do I still want it. I said yes Ive waited 6 wks for it / so he personally had it loaded on his truck and brought it. He is a good driver of course, but the warehouse is run poorly. shipped quickly and it made it to the UPS warehouse in a few days. But that last box.the biggest one, so banged around that the drawer guides were rattling inside, the foam separated. could have taped things together better because the drawer guides and brackets damaged the finish on the bed pretty severely. None of the boards were cracked so that was a plus and the bed is usable.
Love love this platform️. Though I need my handy husband assembled it for me. Came with perfect conditions. Love the color and really enjoy how sturdy it is. Especially the drawers, now I have more storage for my stuffs. Love it! Thank you seller! Great product️
For the money it is a great product! The instructions are well done and easy to follow. Its all latex out, just dont go ahead thin you know what is next. The only warning should be dont over tighten. The bed is press board and light weight wood so it is easily cracked. But again, for the money it is a fair buy. It is sturdier than most beds because it sits on a box. And who doesnt like have six extra drawers
I was a little worrisome when I bought this bed after reading the other reviews tal about how horrible it was, how it was poor quality and how hard it was to put together. I will admitits not the greatest quality but its also not a super expensive bed. It also IS quite a bit of work to put together but if you have a friend help youit goes up in no time. I absolutely love this bed. If youre on the edge of getting itgo for it. Youll love it. Forget about the bad reviews.
There was one instruction that was out of order. It instructed you to place loc nuts into cross supports before the side support. Unless you have at least 2people to hold them from falling over and having the loc nuts fall out you cant do it. You must attach cross supports to side supports and then it will stand up allowing you to insert loc nuts in and easily finish putting it together. Also, you should attach drawer slides to cross supports first. Then when you attach the sides you are nearly finished.
I wanted to wait a couple months after using and found this bed to be aming. Even after moving and having to reassemble it was still sturdy and holds up great. Would very much recommend this bed.
We had this bed for 7 years before it finally finished falling apart. The drawers are not very sturdy and the bottoms will bend and fall out with more than 3/4 lbs of clothing or blankets in them. We constantly had issues from the start with keeping the bed square so that the slats that hold the mattress would stay in place. Eventually, they would not stay in place at all as the boards warped and no longer fit into the brackets that hold them. We had to take it apart and replace it after the particle board cross support cracked around the screws and was no longer connected to the outside frame. It looks nice and worked okay for a while but is not a product that will last.

The wood is pressboard and no more than 250 weight capacity

Love the storage. Bed definitely needs reinforcement. Very high if used with a thick mattress.

I really like this bed. Is just what I was loo for

Very heavy. You need space to open all the boxes before you can start assembling.
