The reason I gave it 3 stars as overall rating is because not only do you need a bed spring mattress, also need thick plywood board ( 42) so the bed spring does not go through since the spaces between each bar piece is about 8 inches apart. The product would be better if they added about 7/8 bar pieces at the bottom. Other than that love it. Beautiful when I added the canopy cutain.
Got the product assembled by home services paying 100! The bed is so squeaky since day 1! You also need a bed slat as the slats on this bed are far apart that sinks the mattress and aches your body! Just sitting or rolling while sleeping is enough to these hear squeaky noises!
This bed is not . Especially unlike the photo! It has a green and brown earth tone. Likely going to buy 30/40 worth of actual spray paint and deal with it. Not cool.
I absolutely loved the look after it was completed. I added my mattress and box spring for height and️I was still to close to the floor. The bottom railing was to low for the bed. I was so heartbroken untillI add a frame I bought from Walmart. Raised the bed higher and made a world of difference. If you like low beds this is for you but if not prepare to make a few changes!
As soon as I purchased I saw another seller selling for like 50 cheaper, so make sure to price check. Otherwise its wonderful and it wasnt too bad to put together. Probably could have used a second pair of hands for some parts, but I managed to get it together on my own without any major struggles.
So when the box came it was HEAVY! I had to have the UPS man slide it into my living room, unbox it there, then carry each piece one by one to my bedroom. Then I began putting it together. Its a bit difficult to do on your own (well for me anyway) Im only 52 95lbs and I eventually got it done by myself bc I live alone. When I began putting it together I laid all the bars flat on the ground and worked my way up like the directions say. But you do have to stand up the bottom rails the right way before attaching the top if you have a short ceiling. Mine were scraping my ceiling as I tried to lift it up and I just know my upstairs neighbor was wondering what the hell I was doing scraping his floor at 2AM. Anyways once I finally got it upright I had to put it together up top and tighten the bolts which was tough to do with my height so if youre short like me I recommenced using a chair. Being as I just moved in to my first apartment ever I dont even have a chair bc I have zero furniture but this bed now! So have someone assist you short folks. Its okay to ask for help. I love the way the bed looks. Wish I wouldve gotten a king bc I didnt notice how large my new room actually was! I have the queen size. Only issue I really had with the products its self so far is its missing one screw at the bottom footboard. I guess Ill just go to Walmart and get it. Also all the screws come with some blue paint on them? Dont know what thats for but it makes it harder to screw them in with the tool they give you. I havent gotten my mattress yet but Ill update this post in a few months to let you all know how Im enjoying the bed. All in all its beautiful.
UPDATE: Currently still waiting on the rest of my bed set to arrive in the mail so excuse the appearance. Even though I gave a four star review because this bed is missing a screw I love the look of it. Its exactly what I wanted. The only thing Id like to add is I do recommend getting a box spring that isnt too heavy on the bed frame. My mattress is a 12inch and its still entirely too low for my liking. I wanted a tall bed so I just ordered a box spring that should be here tomorrow. I wanted to post a pic just so you guys could see how it would look with a mattress without a box spring. Its very low.
UPDATE: It is time for me to move to a new place I had to take my bed apart but for the past year this bed has been wonderful. I love it so much. It has held up very nicely even throughout all my adult activities. I put strip lights at the bottom and it gives me room a whole diff vibe. I get so many compliments on my bed whenever people visit me. I deff recommend!!
