Not a bad bed. A LOT of parts. It took me around 5 hours to put it together. I'm a dumb blonde and I managed to put it together all by myself. Great height for my kid. She LOVES it.
While the bed is now put together, and my son loves it, I have several issues with it. The biggest is how much of a pain in the butt it was to put together. It took my husband and myself HOURS. The directions are awful. They have you follow steps and secure pieces, then move on to the next step and the next, and low and behold the only way to make the current step work is to backtrack and loosen or remove something in a previous step. We probably spent more time back tracking on the steps then on the actual steps. Only ONE time in the directions did they mention leaving a screw somehwhat loose for a later step. The wooden part of the steps was the biggest issue and they would not fit until we loosened and removed things we had already completed. This also resulted in part of the particle board/wooden stairs cracking/splitting on the side - which was so disappointing. There were also several pre-drilled holes in the wood frame pieces that were in inadequately drilled and the bolts could not be put in with the allenwrench and we had to get the electric drill and our own screws to secure the piece. Again, my son loves it, and at the end of the day that is what matters most. It was $200 and a deal so that was also a huge plus. BUT next time we decided we may want to pay a bit more for something easier to put together.
Pretty cool bed. Took my husband and I about 3.5 hours to put together, and it's not quite as sturdy as I would love, but perfectly safe for my daughter who's almost 4.
I bought this bed about 4-5 years ago now... My son turns 8 tomorrow and STILL loves this bed! It has made it through 4 moves (4 times it has been disassembled, stored then reassembled) and is standing strong! My son and his friends have been on it all at once and we have never had an issue. Also, my husband and I have separately laid on it with him with no issues. His almost 3 year old brothers birthday is tomorrow and we were considering getting him one as well, but I think we will get the one that is similar with the slide! This bed is definitely strong and sturdy. Its a lot taller than I thought, perfect for activities underneath! Most definitely recommend this bed for ages 3 and maybe even up to 11/12, as my daughter is 11 and would fit just fine!
This bed is perfect for our 5 year old! she has a fairly deep matress, but it fits well in the bed and the frame is still high enough that I don't worry about her falling out. She loves the steps and the secret hiding places in them. One piece of the frame was slightly bent on one side at the end, but my husband was able to use a rubber mallet to fix it. It was also delivered super fast!
PROS - 1) Bed arrived very quickly. Only waited a few days. 2) My son loves his new bed 3) Lots of parts but each were labeled and easy to follow.
CONS - 1) Side rail is too short. My son's bed is a quitted top so that makes it pretty high and the railing does not offer much protection. 2) we were missing 2 longer screws so I had to make a trip to our local hardware store to finish the assemble.

My husband only punched the wall once during the building process....

Great bed
Got this for my 6 year old daughter, she loves it and seems sturdy. Also has sotrage in the stairs.
