This bed is perfect for my son! His room is small and it provides extra space for him. I put it together myself in about 5 hours, but it was not difficult. My dad probably could have done it in 3. ;) But very HAPPY with this purchase!
Its such a good bed for the price. I got it for my 5 year old and he loves it. Im giving it four stars because the instructions were awful and I had to keep undoing things. I also ran out of screws needed. But we did manage to make it work!
Similar to other comments, it's takes a few hours to complete. The wood frame goes up pretty fast, but the steps assembly takes a little bit bit of time. Overall very pleased. The hinges for the drawer were a little stubborn to align but in the end it all worked out.
This is our first night using this bed, so I will definitely update in the future if we end up loving or hating it. But I felt like I needed to write a review while assembling this thing was still fresh in my mind (and muscles.) The box weighs at least 100 pounds and is about 7 feet long. Our lovely UPS fella left it on our sidewalk, so my 5'3, 115lb self had to drag it up our porch steps and into the house. It took me about 5 hours to assemble, though to be fair, that was with 3 small children running around and getting in the way. If you don't have little helpers you can probably get it done faster. My reason for four stars is, there are LOTS of pieces. Lots. I feel like the manufacturer could have had some of the pieces already put together in the box. Though it's all very sturdy once you get it put together. It also will not fit through a standard doorway, you'll have to put it together in the room that you want it in, and take it apart to move it. But over all, on night one, very sturdy, child is passed out in it. Little sister is jealous. As soon as I forget what a pain it was to put together we'll probably get another one for her. I'll make my husband put that one together.
Make sure you have time set aside to assemble. It took me and my husband 2 1/2 to put together. Make sure you are willing to muscle so stuff into place, because all the holes dont like to line up perfectly without a little persuading. The frame is light and easy to move around the room.
My son (5) loves it so far, and I love the extra space it gives him in his room. I added an extra rail on the side because he likes to toss and turn, and also because Im a crazy person.
Seems sturdy enough, we are laying on it together and for sure exceeding the weight limit and it doesnt feel like its going to collapse.
My 4 yr old son loves his new bed! He thinks it's the coolest thing ever.
It took me about 3 hours to put together. I was able to do it by myself, but it'll be a lot easier if you have someone to help. The instructions are clear and can be easily followed. It's a nice sturdy bed. But it is for younger kids. I definitely wouldn't buy it for a kid over 9 yrs old.
We researched a lot of different loft beds for toddlers and this one had the best reviews. It's definitely sturdy and the wood pieces do not easily scratch. It came in a lot of pieces, but if you are confident in putting things together the assembly shouldn't be a big deal. I do wish that the storage boxes were a little bit stronger. My kids are pretty rough and if one of them were to jump on it I could see it breaking in the future.
This is by far the hardest bed I ever assembled. Took me a few hours by myself. The bed is nice, my son loves his bed because of his fort on the bottom. The top storage step is small. The bottom storage is long and deep like a dresser drawer. The kids can put their small toys, clothe or even shoe's collection in there. It also have a wooden piece that divides the drawer making it a 2 compartment. Its just a headache to build.

Long build time, bring your muscles
