It looks nice when fully assembled. I question the strength and longevity? I weigh about 150 lbs and did sleep on it next to my grandson who slept in the trundle. It felt sturdy and was comfortable and I didnt fall through . The support slats for the mattress are stapled only and the support webbing only wraps around at ends instead they should have wrapped around all slats with a longer strap and then stapled. Assembly instructions stink!!! You absolutely need 2 people. Dont put the front horizontal piece on so you can maneuver the sides to get the horizontal back pieces all in their holes. Do not put the 2 verticals part P10 on the back support pieces until after you have all held in place by 2 sets of hands 3 people would be better. The holes did not line up at all for the P10s and the coresponding holes on the horizontals so I drilled new holes so it would be lunged up and secured properly. I am very handy and build lots of things so I just used logic and predrilled new holes in back supports of day bed. It took 20 minutes for me and hubby to put trundle together and was easy The daybed was a pain as it could not be completed as instructed. Their were a couple scratches because the hardware was loose in the box because the screws ripped through the thin plastic bag that contained the hardware. I just had to overlook as I needed the bed for guests that were coming the next day. I contacted the company via email and asked them to replace the 2 P10s because they looked ugly after I had to redrill and obviously not going to try to stain and clear coat a brand new piece of furniture. I got replacements about a week later. They did not respond to my email but they did send the requested replacements. I do like how it looks in my guest room. If they corrected their instructions and have all holes drilled at proper spacing I would have given a 5.
Looked at this bed on two different screens and on both Barbados looked much darker and not nearly as yellow/orange of an undertone. I'm pretty mad that this color was inaccurate in my case since it doesn't match anything I own. It's a pain to return, so what now? Stain it? Idk. You are taking a risk not seeing in person, I suppose. It also has a small crack in one leg so hopefully that won't be an issue long term. Overall it's fine for the money, pretty easy to put together, but I am far from happy with this one. UPDATE: After my kiddo laid on it, it became painfully obvious that is squeaks and won't last. Found another crack while taking apart for a return.
We got the stained brown wood one at a fraction of the cost of the grey or the white. This bed for the price is incredible. We purchased the grey (really greige- greyish beige) mattresses to match. It took my husband about two hours to assemble the entire thing. No problems at all. Everything aligned properly. He used the tools provided. We placed it in our basement family room as extra seating and for guests to sleep: teens and younger because it is a twin size.
Bought for our lake house. Assembly was pretty easy but does require two people at some points as indicated in the instructions. Since it's for my young grandkids, I was disappointed one of the side rails ended up with a sharp point protruding. Shouldn't be a problem but not the complete rounded side as pictured. The trundle does not fit completely underneath the main bed unless it's just because mine is on carpet. I also wish the trundle , 1) had 6 casters instead of 4, and 2) raised the trundle a little higher so it doesn't drag the carpet/sit right on the floor.
have not had it long but it feels solid and looks good. what ii am really impressed with is Kodiak customer service.I called and told them i overtightend and split a siderail during assembly. I was prepared to buy another one. They asked no questions i was told to send an email with part i needed and my address.I soon got a response with a Fedex tracking and i had the part in a few days. you cannot beat that.
Easy to assemble, sturdy, attractive. Perfect for my grandson and my two great granddaughters.! He can sleep on the top mattress and we pull out the trundle underneath for the kids, 4 and 1, and he can reach down and touch them if they need him. Very convenient! 100% memory foam mattresses Not cheap ones! 10 inches on top, 8 on the bottom..... But, not for fluffy people like me! 175 lbs. max....More if you add thicker support....
We bought this daybed for a guest room/play room for my grandchildren. The size is perfect. The trundle slides right under to save space. It's made quite sturdy. We were missing one part of the assembly, and contacted the company. They were great to work with. Our missing part was mailed to us in two days. I am very pleased.
Wow, I didn't really think that this daybed would be made out of real wood much less be made out of thick sturdy wood that is also very pretty to look at. I bought this daybed for my grandchildren. I have 2 grandchildren that come and stay with me on the weekends and we are always looking for something to make their bed a little more comfortable. Usually they sleep on a hide-a-bed in my livingroom and if you've ever had to sleep on one you know how horrible they are when it comes to comfort. well this daybed has saved the day and Nana-s reputation as the best place to go on the weekends. lol. Thanks for making a great bed.

Sturdy attractive day bed
This is my main bed and I love how it fits my small bedroom. I don't feel like I'm in bed when I'm on it during the day.
beautiful furniture
easy to assemble
