The shelves were easy to assemble. They are sturdy and pretty. Pleased with the product, not so much the shipping. They shipped it to a completely different city and address one that I didnt even have on file.
I bought two of these ladder shelves and put one on each side of the TV. Theyre great for plants, photos, speakers, etc. The shelf is easy to assemble and I highly recommend it.

In the back of the shelf there are two cross (X) supports; they keep the shelf very sturdy plus the diagonal is stylish. Its not difficult to assemble by yourself but would be easiest with two people. I love it though, just what I wanted!
