Only reason I wont give it 5 stars is because some of the screws were extremely hard to screw in. Instructions are easy to fallow. I put memory foam on both bottom and top bunks and they look/feel great. They dont sag between wood slants like the box says. Im 240lbs and lay down on the bottom bunk while my kids are playing on the PSVR waiting my turn. Lol. Worth every penny. I was going to buy one at Costco for 2x the price and Im so glad I didnt. My kids love it! Very reasonable too!!
Its a gorgeous bed, but when I opened it and started pulling all the stuff out my instructions for the bed was for a full over full bed a completely different bed than what I actually did have so I had to call and have them email me the instructions for the bed I had which is the twin over full bed. And after a while if me putting the bunk beds together I noticed that theres certain areas that it was scratched up like on the ladder on the side just a little bit. But other than that its a gorgeous bed my kids love it. The price is reasonable though.
This bunk bed looks great! We love the black wood. It can later turn into 2 separate beds, so I believe that alone makes it a great return on investment. Assembled in about 3 hours. its very nice and I love the color. Worth it
The instructions were clear and all but 2 pieces were labeled correctly. I split the set up between 2 hour sessions. 2 hours to do the bottom and 2 hours to assemble the top. I was surprised that nothing was broken during shipping. This came to IN from CA in great shape. So far there has been 1 screw that has stripped but well just glue it back in place. Considering my 2 and 5 year olds are the ones sleeping in the bed, its holding up well and looks great.
Update / we had to nail glue all the screws on the rail of the top bunk. Theyve all wiggled loose and stripped the holes which is cry because both kids prefer to share the bottom bunk and rarely go to the top. comfortable and stylish product.
Wonderful bed. Ordered an open box item and saved even more money. One part was damaged and the manufacturer quickly replaced the part with no hassle. Seems sturdy enough. I might add another cross beam on the top bunk, the mattress sags a little at one end, but thats to be expected at this price point. Seems sturdy enough
Received the beds yesterday. Product as advertised but I noted a few dings and knicks in a few pieces. The top part of the full headboard was not glued together. I put the bed together with the help of my daughter, it took a few hours.I messed up 2 steps (the directions could have been clearer). Overall the kids like the look of the beds and there was no wobbling or feeling of instability. its worth it to me!
We ordered this for our daughters to make room for our 3rd child coming soon. We didnt want to spend much on a bunk bed because it is a temporary solution until we find a more permanent location. We also didnt want to buy a metal bunk. Our kids are 2 and 6. We ordered the gray color to match the other furniture in the room.
This item did take longer than most Prime items. It took about a week, though it had arrived in our city two days prior to the delivery and FedEx had a note in the tracking does not have to be delivered today. When it arrived, the box was slightly damaged but nothing alarming. When opening the box, we were surprised how exact the color was and the packaging to our crib/dresser by Stork Craft. Everything looked the same, including the tools and packaging. That set off some alarms because our Stork Craft Furniture for the dress came in broken, and was missing 1 bolt.
Its best to give yourself plenty of space when separating the materials. For us, we built some of it in our room because of how much space the full size took up. Then we connected it all in their bedroom. It does take a while to set up with a lot of patience.
Some of the problems we had, first we had difficulty with some connections with the hex nuts with the bolts. It had to line up just right, otherwise it would not connect, and just took some time adjusting different bolts to loosen other connections to make things work. The guard rail did not line up if following the steps accordingly. We had to remove some bolts from a previous step, attach the guard rail, and then bolt the sides in. So, we had to do a few steps backwards in order to go forward.
Now for the material problems. For the full size portion, the top decorative part of the front and back rails (head and foot board) were broken. The top piece was not glued in. This is a simple fix with wood glue, and not a problem when the top bunks connects to the bottom, but still broken. Secondly, one of the Qs, its a support piece for the side rails of the top bunk, it did not have a pre/drilled opening to put the screw in. We saw a small mark, and when trying to manually screw in, a hole punched right through the board. So, this was a manufacturing error. Its as if the hole was completely made, versus only half way to flush the screw inside. So, this entire piece will not work. Finally one of the hex nuts was not made correctly, so none of the screws for that piece will go through to finish one of the frame connections. It looks distorted and angled. Also, the slats for the twin/upper deck of the bunk bed, 4 our of the 7 slats are not drilled correctly, and impossible to make contact with the bed with the screws that are meant to do with it.
The manual does say if parts are missing or damaged to call their own customer service line for free replacements. This is the same info Stork Craft had, and replacement parts took about a week to arrive, so I expect the same with this. So, I will be calling for replacement parts.
For quality, I am going to add more slats to the bottom deck/full size. There are large gabs in between the slats they provided, and think adding more slats will be more stable versus adding a simple plywood, plus the bottom bunk is mainly for our 2 year old to use. The upper bunk has plenty of slats, but I did read others saying plywood helped a lot. Since the top bunk is smaller, I will be doing the same, buying plywood for the top bunk.
Overall, in general we are pleased with the cost. We did get a discount from for the damaged item, but I would recommend based on the quality and price. Just a little manual labor, and you may have some broken or missing parts but with free replacement it shouldnt be a huge deal breaker. I would buy again or recommend for anyone on a budget. Also the bed can be separated for future individual use. Thank you.
Sturdy and strong and looks just like the photo but the instructions were kind of a pain. No problems at all post assembly we love this bed. Would recommend and buy again

Just make sure you have the right instructions for the bed that you received

Perfect for the cost
Love the gray color, very sturdy and good quality. It did take some time to assemble so pack your patience, but worth it in the end! great for guests

Sturdy, but a few pieces were knicked.
