The bed frame is very sturdy and easy to assemble. Light weight given how sturdy it is. We are using it as a daybed in the kids playroom and routinely have 3 or 4 kids sitting on it playing video games. Since we are using it more as a couch then a bed, I put a sheet of 3/4 inch plywood on top to make the mattress more firm. Good quality.
First of all / this is a great platform bed. I bought three at once, and while assembling it was obvious that it is a good quality, sturdy design. We have already slept on them and they were perfectly quiet, comfortable and everything we wished it to be.
However, out of three beds, two were missing pieces / most notably the self/adhesive black strips that are meant to be placed at the ends of wood slats (probably to prevent rubbing against and noise that could make). One was also missing the included hardware (the open wrench was missing). But most importantly, one bed could not be put together. One of the legs bolt holes just couldnt line up with the holes of the edge piece. I tried and tried, wasted an hour or more on that one piece, but it would not budge. In the end, I had to return that bed and order a new one hoping the new one would work.
Tips:
1. Use your own tools (metric hex keys with a big grip and one adjustable wrench is plenty) / the supplied ones are too flimsy and you wont be able to tighten the bolts enough which could result in a squeaky bed.
2. If you are missing instructions on how to put it together, I am including them here, just in case.
3. When tightening bolts, first of all, put them in loose, just with your fingers. Then with someones help, lift the two opposite ends of the bed off the floor, to relieve stress on legs. Lower it carefully on the floor, and then tighten more. Finally, go around and tighten the heck out of those bolts so the bed is quiet.
Enjoy! Kids love it easy to put together.
I liked the design of this platform bed, so I bought it for use in a guest bedroom. I wanted the 18 high posts so there would be room for storage totes underneath. The folding center post and wooden slats made it very easy to setup, but the center support post was designed for a 16 bed. It hung in the air 2 above the floor. Obviously that wasnt going to work, so I started to file a return with . It said I would need to ship the bed frame back to them, and because we had guests coming to stay, we cancelled the return and found a block to place underneath the hanging post. Its a temporary solution because the bed slides easily on the carpet which slides the post right off its block. We tried using a 3M adhesive strip to tape the post to the block, but that didnt work either. There was no information in the box about how to contact the manufacturer for a new part, so were stuck with a substandard bed frame. You need alot of patience to build this!
I spent way too long loo for a good mattress frame. I needed it to self support with no need for a box spring, have high overhead for storage, and the slats needed to be close together fory new hybrid mattress. This one does it all. Easy to assemble with a spanner and key, which are included. It was easier still when I used my own socketing screwdriver with an head. My partner helped me put it together, could have done alone, but would have taken longer. Only complaint is wood slats seem kind of thin, but there are so many and the center crossing frame is solid so were good to go. Its rock solid once properly assembled. Will update if I have any problems. Easy assembly.
Corners at the end sticks out a bit. Only negative I have. Otherwise strong and we just got a Casper Original Mattress to go with it and its been great. Mattress doesnt slide, wood slats are strong and we dont notice them. Love it!
I believe most people buy foam beds now and most beds only have a three slat system. This fit perfectly within the new bed and was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. It was a great choice. Good,

Meets expectations
Holds up the weight no problem! Easy to put together. Took no more than 30 minutes for one person. Good.
Great design, great product, not so great quality control
