No instructions to assemble were in the box. It had some minor scratches on it. Box it arrived in was in terrible shape, it looked like it was dropped repeatedly. It is put together now hopefully correctly and seems to be doing the trick. highly disappointed!!!
Best bunk for the price range. Purchased the cherry/mahogany color. Easy to put together, but NOTHING IS MARKED, customer service for was rude and unhelpful. The reason they dont label: customers have a hard time getting the sticky stuff off. how silly. So basically it helps to lay everything out, use some chalk or painters tape to label before you start.
Beds are sturdy and durable. my boys started jumping on them right away and they were solid. Slats for mattresses are aplenty so no additional plywood is really needed. However, the slats are rough and easily give slivers. if possible sand them down or cover the bottom of the top bunk to prevent the lower sleeper from getting slivers. Pay attention to what side the ladder opening is on as well. it was kind of tough turning the bed once it was in the room.
Cost is great, quality is decent. its solid wood but cheaper wood. It does scratch easy but I have just kept some wood filler around for that. Aside from the temporary stress of putting it together, we are very happy with the bed and the cost. Gorgeous and Good Quality
These are great! Very sturdy, well made. The only complaint we have is the hardware package did not come with the beds and it took a couple of weeks to get them from the manufacturer. Our grandkids love them! Very good value for high quality.
Great bed for our boys! However, just keep in mind that because they separate the lower bunk bed has a lot less headroom than typical bunk beds. Our 4yr old son doesnt seem to mind but in the coming years it might be a problem. LOVE THIS SO MUCH!
The quality is as expected for a cheaper bunk bed. Its similar to another set we bought 5 years ago from another company (at the same price). People have complained about the slats but I compared them to the bunk bed we are replacing and they are the same thickness. The old one is structural good after 5 years and lots of kids using it just not cosmetically.
A couple notes:
/ Some parts are labeled but not all. Its not hard to tell what parts go where there. Make sure to keep the parts together as they were packed since they wrap them that way on purpose. It will make it much easier for you if you keep the foam wrapping on until you use the part.
/ We have 6 inch mattresses on it and I wouldnt go any thicker than that for the top bunk (even though instructions say up to 8 inches).
/ There is plenty of room underneath for under the bed storage.
/ As bunk beds go, it feels like it would be good for 8 and under. Our 10 year old (who isnt using the bunk bed) is too big for the ladder.
/ It arrives in two boxes and the second box is delivered after the first box. We waited 4 days for the second box to be delivered after we got the first.
/ We had issues getting some screws and nuts in the pre/drilled holes. My husband had to go in many of them and scrape out wood.
/ It took him 2 hours to put together.
Again, there are definitely better quality bunk beds out there, but for the price, we are happy with the purchase. It does look really nice once up. Overall you got what you paid for.
For the price its ok, but when it arrived several boards were cracked. We didnt notice until one bed was already assembled so it wasnt worth our time to disassemble and take it back. Pretty disappointing purchase for the price.
Opened the box to see sooo many pieces and not a single one labeled! Fought to ID all pieces and put together/ took all day. Worst instructions I have ever used, but in the end they are sturdy and look good. No wonder they offer option to assemble them for you. Still glad I bought them. I was actually pretty disappointed.
These are pretty nice for the money that they cost. Pros: Inexpensive, ok quality, decent finish, easy to put together if you use your own power tools not the included tools, USE POWER TOOLS ASSEMBLY GOES FASTER (1.5 hrs 1 person with power tools thats mechanically inclinded, who knows without). Cons: Drilling for hardware done after finish applied and many of the holes need to be cleaned of debris prior to putting in hardware, Comes in two packages and the shipping doesnt reflect this, Instructions have an inventory of the hardware included but not the actual peices of the bed so you have to go through the instructions first to determine if you got all the peices. Its a nice design though.

Get what you pay for but these seem to be a pretty good buy.
