My previous gas container, a flat red 4 gallon one, cost more than this and split at the seams, leaking 2 gal of fuel into my rig. To be fair, that company replaced it for free. But I dont need the risk. This seals perfectly, all temperatures and altitudes, holds more fuel, and costs much less! Seals well enough to keep it inside my vehicle and there have been no fumes, and always a vacuum rush sound when I open it. Seals PERFECTLY. Very happy with it on my trip to Moab recently.
I wanted to love this gas can so much. It was expensive, but looked incredibly durable... so I thought it would be worth it vs. the plastic ones at the hardware store.
Well, the first time I used it, the nozzle broke into several pieces as soon as I inserted it into the receptacle. Even worse, some of the pieces went into the receptacle, so Im going to have to find a way to get them out.
Now I have an expensive metal gas can with no nozzle and a contaminated fuel tank; the can is pretty much useless without the nozzle. I should probably give one star, but the actual shell of the tank is very nice looking and that part I cant complain about... so I gave an extra star.
Very well made Jerry can. Iv owned olther models that always have ended up leaking from the lid and bottom welled seams. I kept this one in the back of my 2 door JK until I could get an outside mount attached. I never had a problem with the smell of gass, or leaks, even when off roading. I got an outside mount now, my only concern is dry rot from the rubber gasket. I know that its inevitable, but im sure I could find new gaskets if that ever becomes an issue. Will submit pics when i figure this app out!
Love it. Sturdy steel. I only wish I had gotten the stand to keep it upright in the back of my truck. Using bungee cords. It took a little bit of doing to figure out the lock and pour cap. The pour spout can be snapped onto the lid until needed. No leaks.
Awesome gas tank! Have in inside my SUV - yes inside - the top seals out fumes. I saw a comment from someone having trouble working the cap - its easy so to use. Hope the maker doesnt change anything. Really great.
What else can you say about a gas can... Quality, sturdy construction. Highly recommended.

Nice can; unacceptable delicate nozzle

Very nice can. The bracket on the top of the can that holds the spout when not connected for pouring needs a better design, spout fall of easily..
