The bed was easy to assemble. As a preference I like to use use Gorilla glue anytime furniture uses wood dowels it seems to help keep the piece from shifting loose in those areas. The bed is ok as far as sturdiness goes, however I bought a piece of wood to go over the slats for extra support to make it more like a platform bed. Just measure the mattress area and get Home Depot or Lowes to cut it to the size for you. My biggest complaint with this bed is the drawer isnt attached to the bed it free rolls on the floor. In closing if you need a bed this one works but the platform beds made by Sauder are better in my book. (Sauder Mates Bed Model 420568)
Love these reasonable cute twin beds. I purchased 5 of them because Im turning my house into a private dormitory. These beds are sturdy and easy to assemble however it is time consuming when it comes to putting the draw together. Other than that I love it and the packaging was nice and neat everything was there. Comfortable and high quality!

All parts came with number or alphabet stickers so it was easy to aseemble. If you are handy, it will take only 1hr. All wood parts looks nice sturdy ( checked them and it didnt look cheapy , no crack no chip)
I bet my son can use this bed for long time ! So far meets my expectations
