I gave this product a 4, because two of the pieces that should have been screwed together couldnt be because the holes on one didnt line up with the holes on the other.
I put it together anyway and Im hoping it wont be a major deal.
Seems fairly sturdy. I am going to buy a bunkie board as I feel the cross slats are a little too far apart and I read that this could be a problem with a foam mattress over time.
All in all, it was a cheap alternative to buying a box spring and frame for an apartment I only stay in while working. Solid and basic.
Ill never have to buy another bed frame. Assembly / disassembly takes a little longer than a standard frame, but well worth the effort once its up. Smaller than I expected.
UPDATE: I had to remove 2 stars because while in the beginning the bed frame didnt squeak, its been 2 months since I purchased this frame, and it is now squeaking. A squeaky bed frame is one of my biggest pet peeves, so Im disappointed that this frame was advertised as non squeaky, but it still squeaks.
This bed frame is fantastic! It is sturdy, it does not squeak, and it was very easy to put together! I got rid of my spring mattress and got a 16 inch foam mattress. My old bed frame was not going to cut it anymore with this new mattress. This bedframe is perfect for my foam mattress and I have much more storage space underneath the bed as well! Overpriced.
