This bed is by far my sons favorite item in his room. The bed is not that difficult to assemble, however it is time consuming and takes a while if your doing it by yourself. The height on this item was an issue for us and I had to remove my sons ceiling fan in order to install the bed. Once assembled the space underneath it is nice and allows him to put his bean bag under the bed for video games and movies. I have read other comments about the rungs hurting the feet of some, however my son had never made that complaint. I went ahead and bought some pipe insulation and wrapped the rungs and went over them with electrical tape to secure them in place. I also purchased a clip fan and clipped it to the foot of the bed for my son on those warm evenings and its working well. The box that it is delivered in is bulky and heavy so be prepared for that. My son loves being able to use the bed to help make forts in his room when his friends come over and also loved being high up while he is asleep. I feel that compared to other models being sold at other stored like Ikea and Wal/Mart, this bed is very nice and of better quality.
As mentioned my only piece of advice is to have at least one other person available to assist with assembly if possible. Other than that the quality and the price are very good and I am certain your child will love the new addition to their room.
Received bed and was very pleased with it. I have had bed for about 2 weeks and one of the middle support legs has broke off. I will be contacting the manufacturing about repair or replace. My husband said the leg was never welded properly. Still satisfied with bed.
This is exactly what we wanted and my 11 yr old daughter loves it. It is tall so make sure you have at least 8 ft ceilings. Also it was a bit wobbly before my husband anchored it to the wall but now its perfect. The one complaint we have is the the ladders are on either of the bed but you have to climb over the railing to get in. I can see that being difficult for my daughter as she grows and well probably have to find another way for her to get in. Possibly removing the outermost railing and getting our own little stepstool. Overall very pleased. Well see how long it holds up,we just put it up last week on Feb 25th. All the reviews I read before purchasing were very helpful. The info about the height under the bed to the ground is accurate.
Not hard to assemble. Rolls easily. I was hoping the wheels would have side ways motion too...but no problems going in and out under the bed if in a straight line. Seems sturdy.
This bed is fabulous. We set it up quickly and my son tested it out. Its very sturdy and well made. The instructions were simple to follow. We did not anchor it to the wall since it was almost bedtime but it is fine with out. We will anchor it though just to be safe.
I love that this bed definitely saves space for smaller bedrooms which was the purpose of buy. However assembly was very frustrating and was time consuming which made me take off a star but other than the hardship of putting it together, it serves its purpose.
