I could not discern what the material was. It was not pressboard. It was the heaviest material I have ever tried to lift and Im 69 yo, so Ive pushed a ton of it over probably 60 years. If it was wood, it was never dried. Perhaps over the next five years it will dry out and it will be lighter to move around. Valentine loves to sleep on it and uses the backboard to catapult onto the window sill to spy on the wildlife.....
These beds are great, bought one for our daughter for her room and then purchased 3 more for our family cabin? Nice quality, easy to assemble and look great!!!
I have had this product for one day and I must say that it is more that I was expecting. This bed frame is solid, affordable, and sheek. I also loved that the send a small allan ratchet which made my job much easier you dont see many companies sending this out. Only down side to this bed is that there is no headboard but I already knew before buying.
Got the deluxe version which has thicker wood and less support legs. This bed is made in Vietnam and is a quality frame. It includes a sleek ratcheting allen wrench, as well as a regular one. That is the only tool needed for assembly.
The side panels are real wood and finished well. The center rail is metal with three support legs.
On the top side of the slats there are two strips of 2-inch wide double-sided tape. Thats intended to keep your mattress from moving. Thats because there is no lip to keep the bed inside the frame.
I havent used the tape and so far the beds been working great. Its solid, no shakiness whatsoever. Highly recommended.
Its amazing! Muy sister recommended it to me for my guest room. I doubted Id like it because you get what you pay for. However, the price doesnt come close to matching the quality. The mattress is every bit as high quality as the $1,000+ mattresses. I have an expensive mattress similar to this one that my husband and I bought a few years ago. The ONLY reason we havent traded our mattress for this one in the guest room is because I believe guest in my home should enjoy the best I have to offer. I highly recommend it.
Yes, there is a packaging smell for a few days. Ideally, buy the mattress in the warmer season, let it expand to full capacity while allowing a breeze to help expedite the new mattress smell. Its normal.
Love this bed frame! So easy to assemble and from what I can tell, pretty sturdy. Ive had it for about a month already and have come across no issues at all. Slats are sturdy and dont move around and my mattress doesnt move around on top of them. Exactly what I was looking for! So nice
I will start off by saying that this bed was incredibly easy to assemble. I put it together in 30 minutes while my husband was at work. Theres a reason the instructional reference photos are so simple looking! This is also a very lightweight frame so it was easy to move our king sized frame and mattress around by myself, which I also appreciate. The finish of the wood is very clean and attractive. As far as sturdiness goes, I will come back in a few months to attest to its value but so far, I jumped on it and all was fine! I am not endorsing you do this; however, just for the records sake, it did not budge or break. Best of luck to anyone who purchases this and I hope you are as happy a camper as me! Thumbs up!
