The boxes are pretty heavy so if youre not that strong youll definitely need help. Assemble time was probably about 1 hour just me.The drawers are a lot bigger than I thought, plenty of storage! Ive been using the bed for at least a week now and no issues. You dont need a box spring.I have a 8 inch mattress with a 2 inch topper and thats how high it is. I dont feel the bed move or wiggle or anything with durability issues. Myself (160 lb adult) along with one 50 lb dog sleep in this bed. I love this bed,no complaints.

This purchase says, I know what Im doing. What they say is true. I started to assemble the frame about an hour before I had to leave for work and completely finished it in 40 minutes. I used only the Allen wrench they provide in the kit.
My biggest concern was that it wouldnt actually work well with my queen size shikifuton mattress from the Futon Shop (hello San Fran). BUT ITS PERFECT. The mattress is more loose form than western mattresses and I was hoping it would not sink through the gaps in the wooden planks. I really didnt want to shill out the money for a more expensive one with closer planks.
And Im glad I didnt. Because even though I am single as a Pringle right now, I shook this thing as best I could and not a peep or creak in sight. For reference I have laminate hardwood floors and live in an old building with odd angles.

Ok. Good price. Much darker in color than I anticipated but it was the original color I was hoping to find so Im super happy! Very sturdy, very easy to put together. So happy with the purchase!!!
Highly recommended. Exactly what we wanted. My husband actually did not have hard assembling it, he said its common sense lol. So far I like it, sturdy enough it holds our weight his 240 lbs Im 120-122 lbs and plus my daughter 18 lbs she sleeps with us sometimes lol. Just hoping it will not break when doing something lol
