Put the bed together about 2 weeks ago, and me and my son sat on it together tonight and 2 wooden boards under the mattress snapped in half. Im around 160 pounds and he weighs about 60. So the material is not strong or sturdy.
Also the instructions are not the clearest. We put it together pretty quickly but accidentally had the footboard upside down so we had to go back to flip it, which ended up stripping a screw doing so.
You get what you pay for I guess.
This purchase says, I know what Im doing. The bed looks beautiful and once built is a fine twin bed for my toddler. Building it was super difficult since the pieces werent cut right and they didnt fit together. My husband had to fix some of it so we could assemble the pieces.
Highly recommended. Exactly what we wanted. Assembly was fairly easy with the provided tools. The instructions are pretty good and assembly didnt take long at all. There are a few parts of the process where its easy to get a part backwards, so look at the instructions carefully.
The hardware provided seems solid and all the parts needed were present. All of the parts were in good condition and everything fit together great. The hardware is color matched to the frame, and its hidden when possible. The finished product looks really nice.
Once its assembled it seems fairly solid.
The only down side I see is that the frame is a few inches longer than the twin mattress we ordered. So when the mattress is pushed all the way up against the head board, there are a few inches of empty space at the end near the foot board. But once you have sheets and a blanket on it its not bad.
Its a great choice for a big kid bed!
Its worth every penny. Smart buy. This twin size bed is like none other. When you decide to put this bad boy together, remember one thing... ITS WORTH IT! You may have to switch a board or two if you cant follow the steps (my wifes fault) but holy south Texas BBQ was it simple and amazingly sturdy once you put it together. This was worth every penny and I cant thank this company enough. $171.00 but yet Rooms To Go was $500.00 LOL. Yeah right! This bed should cost that much! And let me tell ya, the picture shown made one happy girls day! Im TELLING YOU NOW, BUY THIS BED IF YOURE LOOKING FOR A TWIN SIZE BED!
P.S - The kids canopy was also amazing and easy to set up!
My 5yr old is 44lbs who is at his dadshouse half the time so he doesnt sleep in this bed every night. Weve only had this bed for a little over a week now when he went to lay in his bed for a nap, he said he heard a loud noise. When we lifted the mattress we seen one of the slats completely snapped! He doesnt jump on his bed or stand on it we never sit on his bed because we remember how fragile it felt when putting it together. It came with a cracked side rail a few of the screws were completely stripped before we could even put a screw driver to it. Very disappointed in this purchase and not sure what to do now with sleeping arrangements.

Missing a main screw to put bed together. The screws that attach the metal frame to the bed went all the way to the other side.
