We really like this bed. Its well/made and was easy to construct. However, you can see from the image that theres no covering for the bolt holes; the result is a bed that looks unfinished. Perhaps our box just didnt include them? If so, Id appreciate having them sent! Cute.
The bed is beautiful and sturdy. It went together really easy. Im disappointed that there arent inserts for the holes where the bed comes together. It almost looks unfinished He loves it.
This daybed with trundle arrived on time it took a few hours to assemble, as expected. Its very sturdy snd heavy wood looks great in my guest room!
My 14 year old grandkid has been sleeping on it loves it/ sleeping very well.
I just ordered the 9 inch cool gel foam mattress for the trundle, which very smoothly pulls in and out (the frame).
I live in a 2 bedroom apartment, so when I have guests, I now can offer another bed, instead of getting out the cot in the living room! It was easy.
We wanted a wood trundle bed for my daughters room and they were all well over 300. This one was the cheapest we could find that still looked decent quality. It was easy for my husband to put together and is a really great product.Good.
Ill start by saying the daybed and trundle are good. Very sturdy, easy/rolling trundle that is a separate piece, so can be used away from the bed / all in all, a good value for the price.
BUT I ordered a pair of twin mattresses at the same time. The mattresses had a shipping weight of about 75 lbs were delivered by themselves. It was my first time experiencing this, and it was nice. There were alerts via text: youre 6 stops away four stops away and so on, so that I knew pretty close to exactly when to expect it. There were two delivery people on the truck, which is a good idea with heavy items I only wish the bed and trundle, which came in one 140lb box, had also been delivered this way. Instead it was delivered by UPS, with a delivery window of by 8pm, meaning I had to wait and watch until it got here or risk having a 140lb box left by my door for me to get inside. As it was, though i managed to catch the solo driver, it was a chore for him to get it out of the truck, even with a dolly, and it was tough for him and little/old/grandma me to get it into the house.
And, worth repeating, if i hadnt caught the delivery, this little/old/grandma would have had to somehow get the package into the house alone. (did i mention it was snowing at the time?)
Okay, once the box was in and opened, it was time to put it together. Im pretty handy that way, but the assembly process was made a lot harder than it needed to be by haphard or missing part numbers on the various pieces. Also noteworthy that the finished product has exposed bolts and holes that are NOT shown in the item listing pictures, though they are shown on the assembly instructions. Ive attached a couple of pics that show the finished product / well be covering those with our own stickers, as no covers of any kind were provided with the parts.
I would have liked to give this a 4 or 5 star rating, as i think its a good value and i am mostly happy with it. But the poorly/planned delivery of such a heavy item, the poor parts labeling and the deceptive listing photos have knocked it down to 3. This was a nightmare to assemble.
Love the bed and feel quality matches price. Exactly what we were looking for. To note: directions say you only need handheld phillips and flat head screwdriver but without a drill youll be at it forever, Id imagine. Mine had minor imperfectionsa scratched (not badly) surface here or there. A weird paint splotch, not too noticeable. My 8.5/9 mattress does not slide in and out. I had to lift the bed a bit and place it undersince we will rarely use, no big deal but be aware you need a thin mattress for it to roll in and out easily. My Nephew likes it,

If youre not a pro and you follow the instruction its hard to assemble. It took me hours. The instructions lead me wrong! Great value. Very sturdy.
