You get what you pay for.

I live in a studio apartment and I work from home; a loft bed is perfect for me, and this isnt my first one, Unfortunately, I think I could have done better.but for the price, probably not! (for what its worth, definitely look elsewhere for this, you can get it cheaper!) Im short, but my regular/sized task chair fits well in here, and I have about a foot of clearance. The triangle shelves feel a bit cheap, but they hold my big printer/scanner just fine. I do miss not having somewhere to stick stuff when Im sleeping, like glasses or my phone, but thats just a readjustment I had to make; another reviewer mentioned some command strip baskets, which is a great idea. My cats can get up and down from it easily, since I pushed the cat tree right up against one of the ladders that Im not using. And I like the position of the desk, so I could still fit an armchair under here if I wanted to. My main gripe. It wobbles. Ive had this thing for.about three weeks now. It hasnt crashed under me. But it wobbles. When I come up the ladder, when I roll over, its just this kind of.nervous moment every time. Id like more reinforcement along the sides without ladders. And even though I live in a small space, the completely vertical ladder is a bit of a pain.but worse is the small gap they give you to climb down. The only way I can do it is to get on my hands and knees, align just right with the ladder, turn around, and go down blind. If you have a small space and need a cheap loft, especially if you have some friends who are crafty with metal and can help you add more reinforcement. Absolutely go for this thing. But Ill be saving my pennies for a wooden one next time. I have to say Im pretty disappointed so far.

Works for my 63 15 year old son.

Of course, he only weighs 150. Seems a bit wobbly, but overall construction seems good. The only problem we have is him smashing his head when he stands up underneath! Only time will tell, but so far, so good. Just what I needed!!

    Very Nifty

This bed was purchased for my 15 y.o. daughter. Her room is 9 x 13 with an 8 ft ceiling. The full size loft bed fits well and really frees up a lot of floor space. We used a futon mattress and found that she is able to sit up without bumping the ceiling. The cork board with pin/hole metal front face in the desk area is a nice touch that allows you to use either magnets or push pins. Be aware that the ladder openings at the mattress are somewhat narrow for a teen, but this is only a slight annoyance. Overall, the bed is well made and looks nice. It served my purpose perfectly.

Exactly what it said it would be

I am very happy with this product. It look a little longer than I expected to assemble, but I had 1 adult and 1 preteen instead of 2 adults. Delivery was no problem. They called a few days before the delivery to arrange for a 2 hour window. Love the Designs

    Perfect for small places

We ordered this for my 14 year old son who needed a full size bed, which would not have fit well within our relatively small bedrooms especially since he also needs a desk for school work. First and foremost, this is definitely a large piece of furniture, and the picture on the product page is a bit deceptive because it shows the bed placed in what would have to be a massive room. Due to the height of the bed, it will definitely work best in a room with ceilings higher than 8 feet in order to allow the sleeper plenty of head room for sitting up and crawling in and out of bed, and we actually had to uninstall my sons ceiling fan and change to a flush sitting light fixture because the bed comes out far enough from the wall to interfere with the fan that was installed in the center of the room. This was one of the few loft beds that I was able to find rated for adult size weight limits, and according to the manufacturers website, the bed is rated to a maximum weight of 300 pounds. The instructions were relatively easy to follow, and we did not have issues with missing pieces or poor packaging. My husband and I were able to easily assemble the bedframe and desk components, place the mattress, and make the bed in less than 2 hours. While the bed does have a bit of shake when climbing up and down, both my husband and I both took turns climbing up and down into the bed and laying there without any concerns about stability. The desk is well/sized and tall enough to allow an executive style desk chair to slide fully underneath it (arms and all), and my tall husband was able to sit at the desk comfortably with plenty of head room. Some things that we have noticed over the past week that my son has been using the bed: 1. Despite good room lighting, the desk area is dark and will require a desk light to allow for an adequate work environment. 2. If your child does not like climbing in and out of bed in a completely dark room, it will be nearly impossible for him/her to access a wall switch for the room light from bed. We installed a desk lamp with a clip on the bedrail facing the room, so our son is able to turn on this light prior to climbing into bed, turn off the general room light, and then climb into bed with the light from the clip lamp. 3. Obviously, a bedside table is not usable, and our son found that he missed having a place to sit a book when he was reading prior to going to sleep, to put his glasses after getting into bed, etc. The bed manufacturer highly discourages hanging anything from the side of the bed due to the risk of strangulation, so we used Command hooks to attach a couple of small wire baskets to the wall above the head of the bed to allow him a place to put small odds and ends. 4. The bed is definitely much easier to make if you can keep walking space at both the head and foot of the bed, enough to use a step ladder to stand on while placing the fitted sheet and tucking in the top sheet/blankets. 5. While you will need a full size fitted bottom sheet, twin size flat top sheets and comforters are the perfect size because of the lack of room for draping. Excellent value for what I paid

    Great!

Awesome bed! My 12 year old son loves it! He refers to the desk area as his man cave as there is plenty of room to chill on a beanbag chair as well as sit at the desk!

Its EXACTLY what we are looking for to purchase for my daughter: style, price, metal, etc. The ONLY problem is no one is Alaska sells this AND they wont ship to Alaska. UGH!! Fusterating. They say they will ship in the US but when I type my address in, they wont ship here. Poor information and crap that they wont ship up here. Dont recommend this product.
