I love the style but our mattress ended up being higher than the foot board and only about an inch shorter than the headboard. So then we cant really see the style. But, it works well, and is supportive.
Its sturdy looks good. I putthe existing box springs on the platform for the top FULL mattress to make it tall for our 6 foot plus visitors (daughter 6 ft 2). Older folks like the taller mattresses do this works for us. IT replaces a FULL bed that had braces in the middle of the frame precluded the trundle option. I love that we can put a 10 inch mattress on the trundle beneath which adults in a full-house situation will enjoy. My only problem is that the standard TWIN mattress is 75 inches long the opening between the support rods at foot head ends is only 74 inches. We got a Memory foam FIRM mattress for trundle instead of a hybrid with coils we had wanted because we need the corners of the mattress to compress to roll trundle unit in out. If the company would enlarge the frame by even 1.25 inches, it would roll in out with a standard twin without smashing the corners in we wouldnt have to get a memory foam mattress. This set means we have another comfortable bed for our extra guest room. We have Spring Break guests where the 2 elementary brothers will sleep across the mattress instead of side by side. We have taken off the box springs so they will have the rails at heads sides for safety. The toddler sister will sleep on the twin trundle without worrying about a long fall if she rolls off trundled mattress. When they are gone, the trundle will hide beneath not be used again for months making our mainly storage room overflow bedroom open roomy. We priced at the furniture store in the next big town saved $300 even with getting a twin mattress for trundle.
The bed arrived on time. Hubby put it together in a couple hours with a small bit of help from me. Package arrived with no dings on the box. All parts were there. All parts were flawless. Its solid and very pretty. Its in my large bonus/sewing room to be used for occasional guests. We put an 8 mattress on the top, leaving the trundle without a mattress for the time being which is great for storing large flat items (quilting rulers, etc.) and a spare set of sheets.
Okay, first this isnt the color I ordered, but I didnt feel like wanting for them to send the correct bed I just went with white. I thought this bed has a lot of parts were never going to get it. As I watch my son assemble it, I got excited its a very beautiful bed and I like it very much. Matter of fact I bought this and my daughter bought her daughter a trundle and my looks way better. This was a great deal for me...
2020-This is a update to let you know whether this bed is a great buy.
It is I am a plus size women and this bed can hold the weight, I have had this bed for a year now. The issue that I have is that another person whole also a plus size decided to play and launch themselves on the bed 3 or 4 times a month. Sad to say they carelessness broke the side rail and main middle bottom beam. Im glad I bought the warranty so we will see what happen. I will tell you this though me and my grandchildren slept in the bed and we loved it and if they can help me to get it fix, the other person is banned from my room and beds. I will get a sign just for her No jumping, launch yourself on the bed. As long as your not dealing with people I have to deal with this is a great buy and Im 58 years old and I without the other person had no problems with it.
Most of the time, you get what you pay for... and this is priced low. However, it fit the bill and surpassed our expectations. This bed is being used in our home as a guest bed, so I cannot comment on long-time durability but it feels extremely solid. Since its a platform bed, no box spring is needed (saves more money!) The finish of the bronze is matte and wont show scratches/knicks easily. Its exactly as pictured, was relatively easy to assemble in about 30 minutes (if you just read and follow the directions.) We couldnt be happier with the product!

Great trundle bed
Easy and quick to assemble. Perfect bed for kids. Comfort will ultimately depend on the mattress you use, but bet frame is great.
